IAFF screened the documentary BAG IT in the US Capitol, co-presented by the Plastic Pollution Coalition, Environmental Working Group and the Environmental Film Festival.

Policy-makers and activists turned out for the film showcasing the perils of plastics, as well as remarks by Representatives Jim Moran (D-VA), Jared Polis (D-CO) and Steve Cohen (D-TN). Post screening discussion with director Suz Beraza, EWG's Heather White and PPC's Julia Cohen, moderated by Jody Arlington.

Held on March 9, 2011 at the Capitol Visitor's Center.

A private screening of ON THE SHOULDERS OF GIANTS: The Story of the Greatest Basketball Team You Never Heard Of took place on June 6th at Landmark’s E Street Cinema.  The film is the story of the Harlem Renaissance Big Five, more commonly known as The Harlem Rens – the greatest basketball team you never heard of.  The Harlem Rens were the best of the black teams in 1939 yearning for a chance at a ncoln.

IMPACT hosted a private screening of PATRIOCRACY at West End Cinema on October 12th.  Patriocracy: a voice of reason in the age of polarization.  The film is a non-partisan examination of Washington dysfunction.  Patriocracy drills down and illustrates the forces that drive a wedge into the middle ground of America.  Many notable Washington personalities offer their opinion in the film such as: Senator Mark Warner, Senator Kent Conrad, Bob Schieffer and Pat Buchanan.

The players beat tremendous odds – from racism to the Great Depression – but became the first world champions of professional basketball.  

A Q & A took place after the film with special guest basketball legend and Executive Producer, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and Director & Producer Deborah Morales.  A private salon dinner was held afterwards at Lincoln.
